CE CERTIFICATION

What does the CE marking mean for manufacturers and traders who place their bathroom products on the European market? The CE certification on bathroom products not only proves that the products comply with the Construction Products Directive (CPD 89/106/EEC) and its related standards for safety, environmental protection, hygiene and consumer protection. Moreover, it can reasonably avoid technical barriers to trade, sell freely in the European market and open up other international markets.

What is the standard of CE certification?

The following are the certification standards for sanitary ware.

Taps exported to the EU need to apply for CE certification, and taps need to apply in accordance with the CPR directive for building materials, then the tap CE certification needs to do what tests and standards?

Tap CE certification EN817 standard test Main content:

EN817-6 identification – identification, the tap body must identify the manufacturer’s name and logo, with the left red button for hot water, the right blue button for cold water.

EN817-7 materials including chemical and hygienic properties, must be safe, non-polluting, surface conditions and plating quality, chrome-plated surface and Ni-Cr stainless steel surface should meet EN248

EN817-8 Dimensional characteristics, general requirements of drawings, mechanical mixing valves mounted on a horizontal surface

EN817-9 sealing characteristics, under a certain pressure parts can not be loose, leakage

EN817-10 hydraulic operating characteristics, including sensitivity testing, water velocity testing flow rate class

EN817-11 mechanical adhesion properties under pressure

EN817-12 mechanical durability characteristics, i.e. fatigue test, 70,000 times to check the state of the product

EN817-15 Backflow prevention test to prevent contamination

EN817-14 Acoustic properties,. According to whether the pressure of water flow is equal to 0.3 bar is divided into 3 groups, different groups of noise limit requirements are different sanitary tap general technical indicators EN200: 2008 test standard and 817 is not much different

Tap CE certification testing process

The manufacturer’s relevant laboratory (hereinafter referred to as the laboratory) makes a preliminary application verbally or in writing.

The applicant fills out the CE-marking application form and provides the application form, product instruction manual and technical documents to the third-party testing and certification body you have commissioned.

The engineer determines the test standard and test items and quotes.

The applicant confirms the quotation and sends the samples and relevant technical documents to the laboratory.

The applicant signs a contract agreement with the entrusted third-party organization and pays the certification fee.

The laboratory conducts product testing and reviews the technical documents.

The laboratory provides the applicant with the product test report or technical file (TCF), as well as the CE Certificate of Conformity (COC), and the CE mark.

The applicant signs the CE assurance self-declaration and attaches the CE mark to the product.

Many of Lanerdi’s products are CE certified and comply with other European standards, so choose the CE certified faucet you like!
